Over the years, we have experienced several very costly, disruptive and unsettling storage hardware failures. One such failure wiped out more than 100,000 files including dozens of irreplaceable commercial photographs that had been licensed by companies around the globe. What we believed to be prudent back-up and disaster recovery plans simply were not adequate. Today, our systems are far more robust and feature several layers of redundant back-ups. Regardless, the time and expense to restore critical files from backups can put a huge strain on your business.
